A Snapshot of Life: ILP

PARTICIPATION

During the course, I was able to increase my minimal knowledge of photography. The introductory course gave an overview of different types of cameras, lenses, how to shoot, what to shoot, and how to edit, share, and manage.

Each portion gave an overview of the basic terms to know and a variety of aspects of photography, and explaining their relation to the creative connection. The notes recorded are condensed for the Prezi attached.

DESIGN

I chose to do a Prezi because I felt it was the most clear way of displaying the information, realized after trying several other methods. For comparing all of the different options within the world of photography, infographics (my first idea) was too small, while Prezis are still visually stimulating, but clearly layout the multitude of information.

  1. I like that you offered a free app. I am actually supposed to go to the library and rent a camera to do a photo shoot for a marketable product later this week. I was going to get a go pro because of the underwater allure but I think now I will go for the dslr and stay dry so I can have clearer and higher quality faking professional images.

  2. For Prezi I may recommend using a different theme to get the words to pop more against the background. The highlight does a good job at creating contrast, however it also accentuates the unevenness of the lines. I recommend looking into how to work with the themes and backgrounds of a Prezi through this Lynda playlist: https://www.lynda.com/Prezi-tutorials/Prezi-Essential-Training-2016/530525-2.html?srchtrk=index%3a1%0alinktypeid%3a2%0aq%3aprezi%0apage%3a1%0as%3arelevance%0asa%3atrue%0aproducttypeid%3a2.
